It was a trendy night as one of our favourite European team, the UEFA champions League defending champions, Bayern Munich battled underdogs, Lazio. It was one terrific night with battles, tackles but in the end, Bayern came out on top.

Haven taken the battle 4-0 ahead in the first leg, it was a bit of an advantage for the Germans. Being 4 goals down at their home ground in Italy, Lazio had less hopes of going further. Though the battle was a bit tougher this time, Bayern won at Allianz Arena but that victory will live long in the minds of the players as it was a hard earned one.
Europe’s current best player, Bayern’s point man and Number 9 opened the scoring in the 33rd minute of the match with a penalty kick. Vedat Muriqi conceded a penalty for pushing Bayern’s Goretzka inside the 18 yard box. Later on in the 73rd minute, Choupo-Moting scored with an assist from David Alaba. This wonderful strike from a through ball helped put Bayern 2 goals in front.

In response to the current Bayern menace, Marco Polo scored a header that drove the ball into the back of the net at the 82nd minute. Andreas Pereira provided the assist with a beautiful cross. This strike took the scores to 2 – 1 for tonight and 6 – 1 on total aggregate, giving Bayern a well deserved victory.
