Nigerian singer and former presidential candidate, Speed Darlington, has been released on bail after his arrest following a petition filed by fellow musician Burna Boy, who accused him of cyberbullying.

Darlington, also known for his controversial content, was detained by the police’s Intelligence Response Team in Abuja. His lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, facilitated stating there was little in the petition to justify the arrest. The case gained attention after Darlington’s mother publicly pleaded for his release, accusing Burna Boy and his team of involvement in her son’s detention.
